Just a little note to announce an exciting new update to the My O2 iPhone app. You asked and we delivered: now you can check on your data usage from within the App as well as your minute and text allowances. If you haven’t done so already, we recommend that you download the My O2 app from the App Store immediately. It’s free and won’t take long at all to download, but it lets you monitor and control your O2 account without having to log in on your computer. Handy, eh?
Another related feature of this new version is the ability to purchase data Bolt Ons when you near your data limit.
Android users wanting to get in on the data usage-monitoring action can rest easy – the current version of the My O2 app on the Android Market is also able to do this.
We’re not stopping at version 2.5 though. In fact, we’re well into production of My O2 version 3.0, which will feature even more great new features and a new and improved look and feel. Stay tuned to the O2 blog for more news on this in the very near future.

when will us business customers get an app?

shame it does not work for business or Corporate accounts

It's outrageous that your company wants to reward Rupert Murdoch for hacking and bribery by buying ads in his new newspaper. As concerned customers, we ask that you pull your ads from the Sun on Sunday! And please don't delete this comment. I would appreciate a response on whether or not you plan to go ahead with your ads.
NO TO THE DIRTY DIGGER!

what about us blackberry users?

Martyn, with any campaign, we place our advertising based on whether the publication’s readers are the likely audience for the campaign we are running. We understand that the Sun on Sunday is expected to be simply a Sunday version of the daily newspaper.

Adam, Ross,
We're working on the other variants of OS and for our business customers as well. Watch the space!

O2 should remember they have other customers on other platforms! I have an O2 branded HTC Mozart Windows phone that I am extremely pleased with and have been an O2 customer since it was BT Cellnet! I decided to download the official MyO2 app from the marketplace and I was stunned at how shoddy it is...just a collection of poorly designed links to web pages. I have checked out the Apple & Android apps and they both look really professional! The design is so poor on the Windows app it almost looks like malware! In fact maybe it is as it does not appear when searching for it through Marketplace online or in Zune or on the O2 website, only via the phone itself! It was deleted within a few days! O2 should remove it before anybody in the industry actually sees it and has a good laugh! The Priority moments app is stunning on Windows phone so we know you can do it! Whilst I understand that non-Apple/Android customers don't really matter to O2, you could at least try!! Please take Windows phone users seriously. After all, O2 sold us the phones in the first place!!!!

I recently installed the O2 app for Windows phone on my HTC HD7. I can honestly say that it is one of the worst Windows Phone apps out there. It's basically a list of hyperlinks to webpages. What a joke. It even has the cheek to launch a hyperlink to yet another O2 app called Priority Moments, which thankfully is a little better. To o2: Don't forget your loyal Windows Phone customers, my contract is up for renewal as of this month.

Having just downloaded the myo2 iPhone app (and subsequently reading the screeds of 1-star reviews about the app not working!!)... I, strangely, find the app not working!? I have run through the necessary to update my login details etc., now when I enter username and password, it gives no error but refreshes me straight back to the login page!!?? I'm a tad confused. And concerned that what was a very good app, has become a very bad, inaccessible app!.... Your thoughts/info please?

@Mitch C
Since 8pm last night, many of you haven’t been able to sign into the My O2 App. We’re really sorry and we’re doing everything we can to get this fixed as soon as possible. We’ll send another update as soon as we have it.

I have just updated the my O2 app on my iPhone 4s and it now doesn't allow me to check my data usage. This is VERY disappointing. Am I missing something?..as the "new and improved" help section for which the update was created for was no help at all!!! Help!

The data part of the app does not give a true reading, each time I have called O2 they show that I have used a different amount of data to what the app is showing, so what is the point of having data useage on there if it is inaccurate??

@Jackie Dart Hi Jackie, we're looking into this at the moment, please keep an eye on the app for updates.
