We like to think that we have a smartphone to suit anyone who walks through our doors or check out our website. To illustrate that point, we thought we’d look at the common requirements from customers and pick out five top notch handsets to suit.
So, which of these (if any) best reflects your personality?
Got to have the latest
Recommended phone: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
If you’re the sort who just has to have the latest, or who is simply excited by cuttingedge technology, then the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is definitely the hottest ticket in town right now. It features a class-leading 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display, which simply bursts with colour.

Fancy screens and cutting edge operating systems are all very nice, but for some people all that matters is sound quality. If you use your phone for listening to music on the go as much as you do for communicating, then we would have to recommend the HTC Sensation XE.
It does everything you could want a modern smartphone to do, thanks to its dualcore processor, qHD screen and Android 2.3 OS. But beyond that it comes with Beats Audio technology, which introduces a special high-quality sound setting and a top quality set of ear buds.
Serial messager
Recommended phone: BlackBerry Bold 9900
Of course, for many people a smartphone’s main and possibly even sole task is text communication. If you find yourself sending email after email and text after text during your average day, then you should probably check out the BlackBerry Bold 9900.
It’s the latest and greatest in a long line of expert messaging devices from RIM - the company behind the BlackBerry brand. The Bold 9900 comes with arguably the finest physical qwerty keyboard in the business, which enables you to type far quicker and more accurately than on any touch-only device.
Size matters
Recommended phone: Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray
Mobile phones have become more powerful and more useful than ever. This is a good thing. For some, though, something fundamental has been lost in the mix - mobility. Phones have gotten a whole lot bigger.
Those looking for a device that can handle everything you’d expect from a modern smartphone but in a pocket-friendly package should give the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray a look. While it has a pin-sharp 3.3-inch touchscreen, a powerful 1GHz processor and the Android 2.3 OS, it’s just 111mm tall, 53mm wide and weighs in at a scant 100 grams.
Dare to be different
Recommended phone: Nokia Lumia 800
As good as all of the above devices are, they’re all part of the established order of smartphone devices and platforms. If you yearn for something a little different, the Nokia Lumia 800 will be like a breath of fresh air.
First up there’s the phone’s unique design, which adopts an unusual all-in-on polycarbonate shell that’s as durable as it is striking to look at. I'd love to have the latest handset, but unfortunately I'm tied into a 2 year O2 contract :(

Shame the £50 voucher isnt available on the s2 now the sale is over.. I guess the arc is ok, but its not the one I have read about so much
