The Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung’s new 7 inch Android-powered tablet, is coming to O2 on Monday 1 November. And with our new Starter Kit and O2 Gurus on hand in store, this tablet definitely isn’t a bitter pill to swallow.
The Tab will be available from O2 for £599 on our range of Pay & Go Mobile Broadband tariffs. These include our new Starter Kit which comes with 2GB data as well as free Wi-Fi at thousands of The Cloud and BT Openzone hotspots. It’ll be available on selected Pay Monthly and Pay & Go tariffs for customers who want to be able to make calls on it too.
Picking up the tab is never usually a good thing, but this is definitely one Tab to get. It’ll be on sale at www.o2.co.uk from Monday morning as well as at selected stores – there’s be a full list of these on our website later this week.
Have you played with a Samsung Galaxy Tab or will you be getting one from Monday? Leave us a comment below!
Ouch! an OS not meant for a tablet, and a price point that does not differentiate from the competition (Apple) makes this a non-starter, and its only a 7" screen! Shame! Opens the door for other competitors though!

You're never alone with a HTC HD7

There's no comment on any UK site about the 32gb version - just the 16gb... When will you be stocking the larger version?

Hi Matt - Sorry to hear you're not a fan of the Tab! We sell a wide range of devices to hopefully suit everyone - you can grab an iPad sim from us too if you prefer Apple tech!
Nigel - the full price details are in the post but it'll be £599 :)
HelenaB - We'll be selling a 16GB version that can have expandable memory up to 32GB.

I'd rather spend the money on a high-end laptop thanks. What a crazy price; where's the network subsidy?

Hi Midnightz - in the past we've subsidised laptops but that means you need to sign up to a long term contract. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is all about freedom which is what we're offering with our prices - no long contracts and no set amount to pay per month.
