We’re exclusively launching the Dell Streak this Friday and not only will it be on O2 before anywhere else in the world, it’ll be available for free on a £35 a month tariff.

The Dell Streak has it all – a big touch screen protected by extremely tough glass, thousands of Android apps just waiting to be downloaded and a choice of 16GB or 32GB memory. Why would anyone get the 24 month or 18 month deals when the 12 month simplicity is cheaper...Even data only tariffs are worse than simplicity!

I have been holding out for ages for the Samsung Galaxy S, but this looks like an interesting alternative.

The larger screen is a bonus although it is also something of a diasadvantage for a phone. I had a similar sized device years ago (HP Jornada 928) and although you definitely looked kinda stupid talking into what looked like a pocket calculator it wasn't without its benefits :)

The Galaxy S has a much better GPU and potentially more RAM and that is what I wanted to clarify...

when you list either 16GB or 32GB 'memory' do you mean internal flash memory or do you mean that this is the size of a microSD card that will be supplied with the device ?

If you are referring to the MicroSD card storage capacity when you say 'memory' then I would be grateful if you would please say what the internal flash memory capacity is. I've been reading the speculations over the internet but the actual specs of this device have been so secret that nobody seems to know for sure :)
