Good news for every iPhone toting Starbucks fan – from 20 April you’ll get inclusive Wi-Fi while you drink!
Starbucks have today announced that all their shops will be kitted out with BT Openzone hotspots. This means all our customers will be able to get online at the same time as getting their caffeine and muffin fix.
O2 customers with Apple iPhones will be able to use Wi-Fi as part of their unlimited Wi-Fi allowance as it is rolled out across stores from April 20. Our Mobile Broadband customers will be able to get inclusive BT Openzone Wi-Fi from summer onwards and later in the year, all other O2 mobile customers will be able to use Wi-Fi across the country by selecting a £7.34 monthly Wi-Fi Bolt On or taking it for free as their Bolt On of choice on a 600 minute or above tariff.
678 Starbucks will be joining the BT Openzone network, meaning qualifying O2 customers can now get Wi-Fi access at over 8,000 hotspots across the UK.
Excellent, does this mean the iTunes Starbucks App will work then http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/pressdesc.asp?id=790

Finally! I've been waiting for this for ages and have been really jealous of my American friends that get free wifi at Starbucks, it's meant I've had to to Cafe Nero or others for a while if I want to get online too, but now I can get online at Starbucks without a ridiculous price! I love Starbucks, so much better than any other, the atmosphere is great and to get free wifi as well is fantastic news! Cheers O2!
